In Memory of Rose Van Thyn

This week we bid farewell to our dear friend Rose Van Thyn. We are so blessed to have had Rose and her husband Louis in our lives for so many years. Having endured the most unspeakable horrors at Auschwitz, Rose devoted the rest of her life to telling her story (especially to the kids of Shreveport) and to providing the greatest possible example of how the human spirit can triumph. Rose was proof that despite long odds and unspeakable pain and suffering, brave men and women can not only cling to, but embrace, life and build a future out of the ashes of the past.

Rose, we love you and will never forget you.

Daddy's Day

Father's Day was also Evan's birthday. What better way to celebrate than eating a soccer cake and wearing new matching jammies!!

Visitors

One of the best parts of where we live is we get alot of visitors. Cousin Warren was in town for work, so we had a fun evening hanging out at our place. First words out of Gabe's mouth the next morning were "Where is Warren? Can he play?"

Shabbat

Noa rockin' out to pre-school Shabbat
Gabe was Shabbat Abba for the day...you would have thought he was king of the world. He wore the crown all day.
